Ooooh! Plant based does sound interesting!
Bobo & Boo created their plant-based range after the bamboo range. A couple of the minor issues with bamboo products was that they could not go in the microwave and they also contain a minute amount of melamine.
These have been addressed with the plant-based range as these are both dishwasher & microwave safe and the plant based resin to create the products has absolutely no traces of melamine.
We love both ranges that Bobo & Boo have created. We love that they are eco-friendly & are a biodegradable product.
Some of the key differences between bamboo & plant-based products are detailed below.
Bamboo Products | Plant-Based Products |
Made from Bamboo fibres mixed with small amounts of bran & corn-starch | Made from fibres extracted from crops such as corn, wheat & even sweet potatoes |
Has minute amounts of melamine | Contains absolutely no melamine |
Dishwasher safe | Dishwasher & microwave safe |
Biodegradable | Biodegradable & compostable |
BPA free, non-toxic and food safe | BPA free, non-toxic and food safe |
The Bobo & Boo range have a wide range of products including bento plates (the most popular products), cups, plates, bowls & cutlery.
The colours range from being bright to monochrome such as charcoal & grey.
Many of Bobo & Boo's products are available to purchase individually. This is great so you do not end up with pieces that you do not need from a full dinner set and you can also choose your own colour combinations.
The best part about Bobo & Boo?
Bobo & Boo also offer a 12 month guarantee on their products as they believe them to be durable for toddlers and young children. If a breakage occurs, you can contact either Scarlett Tippy Toes or Bobo & Boo to arrange a replacement.
